Job description:
Our client is seeking an experienced interpreting booking coordinator to work in a busy environment. In this important role, you will have overall responsibility for supervising all phases of interpreting bookings, including:
- identifying and assigning appropriate interpreters for bookings in London and the UK
- manage database of linguists
- develop recruitment strategies
- liaising with clients and managing relationships
Requirements:
- university degree (all degrees will be considered, Linguistics preferred)
- be able to multi task, take initiative and resolve problems quickly
- maintain an enthusiastic and friendly approach to clients and linguists even at the busiest and most stressful times
- ability to work under pressure
- English as mother tongue or near native with clear and mistake free spoken English
- minimum of 3 years living experience in London with good knowledge of all areas
- good written and oral communication skills
- good organization skills
- strong commitment to quality and eye to detail
- excellent IT skills
- good knowledge of the London area
- foreign language is a bonus but not essential
Main tasks:
- assigning appropriate interpreters for bookings in London and the UK
- dealing with interpreter enquiries and assisting them in order to help them complete their booking with success.
- dealing with client queries, taking booking requests and processing them
- being in charge of interpreting recruitment
- processing new applications and interviewing new candidates
- entering new interpreters in the database
- assist with CRB (Criminal Record Bureau) check processes
- sending application and welcome packs
- making sure interpreters sign and send their service agreements
- defining in which languages we fall short from time to time and develop and implement strategies to find and hire interpreters in those languages
- keeping the interpreter database up to date |
