Our client is a specialist provider of translation services to the financial sector and in particular to the banking and asset management industry. The company prides itself in the quality of its service and has offices in Paris, London and Montreal.
Our client are currently looking for a full time Senior English to German Translator
Key functions:
• Translate a wide variety of financial and non-financial texts from German into English.
• Proof-read translations to ensure accuracy and consistency of style, terminology and presentation.
• Edit documents in English for style, content and correct terminology.
• Potential on-site work with clients to prepare and translate financial communication and internal reports (investor presentations, annual reports, strategy and results presentations, audit reports, etc.)
Position open to an individual who can work from home or personal office based in the UK or our head office in Paris, if working from home the individual must be available to come and work or follow training programmes from time to time in our Paris office.
Ability to function autonomously (necessary for working on-site and maintaining credibility with clients) and work under pressure against tight deadlines.
• Excellent PC skills and a very good knowledge of standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are essential.
• Familiarity with the TRADOS computer-assisted translation suite (Translator's Workbench, WinAlign, MultiTerm) would be an advantage.
Salary commensurate with experience.
