| Description: |
Our client, is among the European leaders in translations and contextual localisation services.
They currently require a CAT Specialist.
Job Spec:
> Analysis and preparation of files for translation
> Prepare files and prepare/update required translation tools (glossaries, Translation Memories, information resources)
> Pre- and post-translation editing
> Technical revisions & harmonisation of multilingual projects
> Layout (Word/PowerPoint/Adobe Acrobat/…)
Organisation level
> Set up and help implement CAT Tools related work processes
> Installation & maintenance of IT hard- and software
> Internal (and external) CAT Tools training & help desk for Project Managers and Translators
> Set up glossaries procedures, maintenance of Translation Memories, procedures for alignments
> Stay abreast of new technical developments in language services sector and deploy new systems
when appropriate.
> Responsible for adaptation and implementation of new (web based) business system to increase
productivity and reduce time spent on routine/administrative tasks
2. PROFILE
> You have a Bachelor or Master Degree or equivalent through experience
> You are familiar with the translation sector (experience in the sector is a plus)
> You have expert command of CAT Tools (SDL Trados) and are familiar with a wide range of fileformats (also graphical)
> You are IT-savvy, and keen to keep up to date with new developments
> You have a problem-solving attitude
> You have strong planning capabilities and organisational skills
> You have an eye for detail, and a love for languages
> You are a real team player and keen to share your knowledge with your colleagues
> You are flexible, stress resistant and used to work with deadlines |
