Senior Business Development Manager
thebigword Group is one of the World’s fastest growing language services companies, with a global structure and client base. With an ambitious growth plan set to catapult the company into the top five Language Service Providers in the world by 2011, we are looking for an outstanding and highly motivated sales professional to join our UK sales team in our Leeds or London offices.
The successful candidate will have experience in selling complex, multilayered solutions to blue chip organisations at Director/board level and must show evidence of closing deals where contract value exceeds £1 million per annum. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a strong technical background with a sound understanding of language technologies as well as detailed knowledge of complex localisation workflows.
The key objectives for this role are:
• To generate new opportunities and strategically set out strategies to grow existing accounts in partnership with the account management teams
• To increase, develop and diversify the client base in accordance with the company’s technical development programme and business plan
• To liaise with all the appropriate departments in relation to major accounts and direct them as appropriate
The successful candidate will:
• Have a proven track record selling into blue chip companies at Director/board level
• Have at least 3 years experience in the localization industry
• Be able to travel and hold a clean driving licence
• Be target driven, self motivated and demonstrate a competitive spirit
• Have the gravitas to deal with people at all levels
While fluency in languages other than English is not essential, this would definitely be considered an advantage.
